Gasworthia 'Sprite'

This is a cultivar between a Gasteria and a Hawthoria, well suited for pots or garden in any shaded position. Both parents are slow growing and will reach about 30cm across at 3 to 5 years of age. The crossing should product upright flower spikes lasting many weeks in spring to summer.

Position - full sun or heavy shade, great in gardens, borders, rockeries or pots, indoors only in well-lit positions otherwise they will lose their nice shape and colour.

Watering - can be watered all year round with most growth over summer months, plants will survive without water for many months but will do better if watered all year.

Feeding - 25% of recommended dosage monthly in growing period. The less fertiliser the better the shape of the plant, fertilisers high in nitrogen can produce larger plants with less colour.

Repotting - Can be left to overgrow their pots or repotted in the warmer months in almost any well drained potting mix.
